I love New Concepts Publishing!

And I'm not just saying that because Kissing Casanova has got the best cover ever and it's now on sale. Well, that might be a part of the reason. :) I also love them because they just contracted my light paranormal multicultural romance, Revamped. The previous title of this novel was 666 Step Program. I changed it because although it's a joke title, I didn't want readers to think I worship the devil or anything...at least not every day! I also didn't want people to be turned off by the title. I do know some people who will do anything they can not to have to write, say or see the numbers 6-6-6 in succession. So I came up with Revamped.

The title fits the story anyway. The book is about a vampire with obsessive-compulsive disorder who refuses to feed. When he doesn't feed, it throws off the balance of death. So the vampire would have to change in order to resolve the conflict, hence Revamped.

How I came up with the story premise, I was watching back-to-back episodes of "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" and "Monk" one day. It was kind of like that whole "You got your chocolate in my peanut butter." and "You got your peanut butter in my chocolate." Two great tastes that go great together. Who wouldn't want to see an anal-retentive vampire. They're just about that anyway. I just pushed this one a little bit further than he should have gone. *LOL*

And are you all enjoying Kissing Casanova? I hope you are. Please feel free to post your comments on my blog or on my guestbook. I would love to hear from you.

Until then, happy reading!

Re-vamped sounds like an interesting move - don't think i"ve read an obsessive compulsive vamp.
Then you're way overdue! *LOL*

I read the excerpt of "Revamped" and I want this book. I can not wait to read it and not just because The Rock was inspiration...hahaha.

BTW...I give you 5 stars for "Kissing Cassanova". That book was great....I absolutely loved the Wal-Mart shopping spree.
If you can't tell, Wal-Mart is my home away from home. *LOL* Love that place. And I love that it's open 24/7!

Thank you for the 5-Star review for KISSING CASANOVA. You've made my day!

Crystal, this sounds really good! I was just imagining the whole premise of an ocd vamp and cracked up. Being a mental health therapist, maybe I really get the humor of that, but it sounds awesome!!!
Imagine no more, Kimberly! REVAMPED is available now! And check out my recent blog entry for snippets from two review sites.

So much to do! So little time!

Sorry, I didn't mean to stay away so long. I have been swamped but in an absolutely good way. I've been working on edits for Gray's Anatomy for a few weeks now. What my editor is asking me to do will make this story so wonderful. I can't wait for it to come out, which should be around July 7th barring any major problems. And speaking of coming out, did you all notice something nifty on the "Coming Soon" page for print books? Yep, my baby, Kissing Casanova , will be out in print around July 14th! I'm absolutely thrilled that this book will FINALLY be in print and available in bookstores. Since this is my thesis for my M.A. from Seton Hill University, I will, of course, give them a couple of copies for their library. It jus makes sense to give back to the school that helped me write the book in the first place. Other than that, I'll be waiting to do edits for Revamped . Then who knows what I'll do after that. I'm an author on the move, bab...

Tagged for migrating purposes

Aliyah Burke broke in her brand new blog by tagging me! Grrr! Here are the rules: 1. Each player starts with eight random facts/habits about themselves. 2.People who are tagged need to write their own blog about their eight things and post these rules. 3. At the end of your blog, you need to choose eight people to get tagged and list their names. 4. Don't forget to leave them a comment telling them they're tagged, and to read your blog. Here are my eight random facts. Enjoy! 1.) I'm a creature of habit. I tend to drive the same paths because I know them, even if another more faster way is available. 2.) As old school rapper, Rakim, said, "I hold a microphone like a grudge." Once you're on my sh*t list, it's really hard to get back in my good graces. I don't forgive very easily, and I never forget. 3.) I hate exercising. That's pretty bad considering I just started this new diet and exercise program . 4.) My very first concert ever that I attended...

I'm in print! I'm in print!

After many months of hoping, begging and pleading, my "baby", Kissing Casanova , has finally made it to print! I'm so thrilled that this work is in a tangible format so that I can actually hold it in my hand. It's such a wonderful feeling to see a book with your name on it, the words, characters and ideas inside of the book are my own. There are no words to describe how massive a feeling this is. With the new format comes a new cover. You all did notice the new cover to the left there, right? Look at my previous blog entry for the previous cover that went to the ebook. It's a nice cover. However, just like you'll always remember your first love. I'll always hold the first cover near and dear to my heart. Thankfully the story is still the same. Click here to read and excerpt or buy the book. Now if you'll excuse me, I'm off to do my happy dance. Keep reading! Crystal*** http://www.CrystalBrightWriter.com
